Independent chartering and shipbroking out of Aliağa, Türkiye — built on relationships that go back to 1976, from steel trading on the İzmir docks to fixtures on five continents today.
Yıldırımoğlu began in 1976 as a steel trading house in İzmir, buying and selling the raw material that built Turkey’s industrial coast. As the business grew, we moved into logistics — putting our own trucks and, later, our own chartering desk behind every cargo we traded.
Our proximity to Aliağa, home to one of the world’s largest ship recycling clusters, opened a door most chartering houses never find: direct relationships with owners, yards and cargo interests that led us into project and breakbulk shipments. From there, the step into dry bulk — cement, gypsum, bauxite, iron ore — was a natural one.
